HAMMERHEADS SOCCER CLUB AND BEACH UNITED ANNOUNCE FORMAL PARTNERSHIP

Wilmington / Myrtle Beach (March 12, 2025) – The Hammerheads Soccer Club and Beach United FC are excited to announce a strategic partnership aimed at enhancing the player experience in Myrtle Beach and further strengthening youth soccer across the coastal region.

Under this new partnership, Beach United and Hammerheads Soccer will collaborate on all aspects of club operations, with a particular focus on improving the player and family experience. Special attention will be given to the early development age groups, including refining practices, coaching, and curriculums to help young players advance in the game.

In addition to improving the developmental experience, this partnership will provide Beach United players and families with a direct pathway to the Hammerheads Soccer Club’s ECNL teams— the only ECNL member club in the coastal region. This will open up new opportunities for players within the prestigious ECNL program.

“Collaboration is key to providing an exceptional sports experience. We have a lot to learn from the Beach United soccer community, and the more connected we are, the better the experience we can create for players and families,” said Carson Porter, Executive Director of Hammerheads Soccer Club.

Leadership from both Hammerheads and Beach United will begin working on the 2025-26 season immediately. Efforts will include aligning programming, sharing curriculums, establishing coaching standards, and streamlining administrative processes—all with the goal of fostering improvement across the board.

“We’ve built trust over several years of working together,” said Thuba Nkomazana. “Joining the Hammerheads allows us to expand into a larger soccer community, pushing us to share ideas, improve, and help our players develop a love for the game while chasing their big dreams.”

The initial partnership is a four-year agreement, with Hammerheads Soccer Club supporting Beach United’s administrative needs while also collaborating on the field with Beach United families and staff.

“All the great aspects of Beach United will remain unchanged. This is a club I’m passionate about and have dedicated myself to,” said Nkomazana. “But this partnership will help us elevate our efforts, and I’m excited for what the future holds.”
